The Mid Ohio Alternative Animal and Bird Sale is held 3 times a year. Animals range anywhere from domestic to exotic with over 200 different species being offered for sale. The auction is governed by USDA officials and all animals and birds must meet requirements in compliance with the Ohio Wildlife Laws and the Dept of Animal Industry of Ohio. All out of state animals must have an entry permit and Health Certificates. This information can be obtained from your local veterinarian or the Dept of Animal Industry in Ohio 614-728-6220. Unloading begins Thursday – November 2nd from 10:00 AM -7:00 PM
Friday – November 3
Main Ring
8:00 AM – Peafowl, waterfowl, pheasants, bob white, quail followed by Warm Room Animals (pet shop, primates, hamsters, hedgehogs, exotic birds, house birds etc) Kangaroos and Wallabies will sell immediately following last cage. Swans will follow.
Ring 2 : 9:30 AM – Exotic Sheep, Goats followed by Russian Hogs
Ring 3 : 9:00 AM Domestic Animals in cages (Rabbits, Pigeons, Chickens, etc)
Outside: 10:00 AM – Cages, stands, fencing, panels, etc. NO JUNK ACCEPTED.
Saturday – November 4
Main Ring: 8:00 AM: Cattle, Buffalo, Camels, Zebras, African Stock, Elk, Fallow & Whitetail Deer
Ring 2: 9:00 AM – Pot belly Pigs
Ring 2: 11:00 AM – Llamas & Alpacas followed by Emus, Rheas, Ostriches followed by Miniature Horses & Donkeys
9:00 AM – Taxidermy, mounts, Tack, misc will be sold in the Dean Beachy Arena
