Mid Ohio Alternative Animal and Bird Sale

September 14 @ 11:00 am - 9:00 pm

The Mid Ohio Alternative Animal and Bird Sale is held 3 times a year. Animals range anywhere from domestic to exotic with over 200 different species being offered for sale. The auction is governed by USDA officials and all animals and birds must meet requirements in compliance with the Ohio Wildlife Laws and the Dept of Animal Industry of Ohio. All out of state animals must have an entry permit and Health Certificates. This information can be obtained from your local veterinarian or the Dept of Animal Industry in Ohio 614-728-6220. Unloading available September 13 – Wednesday – 12:00 Noon to 8:00 PM for Only Birds selling Thursday.

Unloading for all other animals begins Thursday – September 14 @ 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Selling Order:

September 14 – Thursday – Main Ring: 11:00 AM – Peafowl, waterfowl, pheasants, quail, misc. will begin selling.

NEW:  Beachy Arena – 6:00 PM – All Quail will sell in 2nd ring.

 

September 15 – FridayMain Ring:  8:00 AM – Chinchillas, Ferrets, Doves.

9:00 AM – house birds, warm room, pet shop animals, unrestricted primates, as well as other exotics

Ring 4:  8:30 AM – If any – remaining Peafowl, waterfowl and Pheasants in separate ring

Ring 3:  9:00 AM – Domestic caged animals (pigeons, rabbits, chickens, ducks, etc.) 2 locations all day

Ring 2:  9:30 AM –Sheep & Goats followed by Russian Hogs

Outside:  10:00 AM – Empty Cages, stands, fencing, misc.

Ring 4Dean Beachy Arena –   3:00 PM –Mice, rats, hamsters, degus, reptiles.

Main Ring:  5:00 PM – Porcupines, Capybaras, Fox etc. (will sell after warm room)

Main Ring:  6:00 PM- Kangaroos followed by Swans.  Selling in 5-6 rings all day.

Note:  Times for Porcupines and Swans may be earlier depending on amount of cages.

9:00 AM – Fall Taxidermy Auction – Held in the Mt Hope Event Center

Lots of life size mounts will be sold:  World class whitetails, elk, caribou, black bear rugs, antelope, lots of African animals, small animal mounts, whitetail shoulder mounts, lots of large whitetail sheds, European mounts, and much more. Contact Steve Chupp 330-465-4725.  http://stevechuppauctions.com/node/1930

9:00 AMRing 2 – Potbelly pigs

11:00 AMRing 2 – Llamas & Alpacas, Emu, Rheas & Ostriches followed by Miniature Horses & Donkeys – ring 2

9:00 AM – New Tack, misc indoor items
